How to join APTE?

According to the article Nb. 6 of our statutes, the physical or legal entities, state-owned or private interested in the promotion and the development of Science and Technology Parks, are suitable to become members of theAPTE.

The Association has two kinds of members: Full members and Affiliated members. The full members are active parks and the associated members are parks in project.

The Full member fee is 3.446,59 € plus TVA. These members have to pay this amount in two half yearly instalments of 1.723,29 €.

The Affiliated members fee is 1.723,29 € plus TVA to be pay in two instalments of 861,64 €.

The Association has achieved an important position in the Science and Technology System of Spain and in the process of new economy integration and the new society of knowledge.

For this reason, we invite the companies and institutions with interest in the development of Science and Technology Parks to join the APTE.

Full members requirements

Science and technology parks wishing to become Full members of the APTE must fulfil the following requirements:

• There must be a suitable site for the park and at least one building housing common services such as meeting rooms, an auditorium, other general corporate services, advanced telecommunications infrastructures, etc.


• Proof must be given of the existence of some of the following innovation support infrastructures in the park: university-related institutions, technology centres, laboratories, business and innovation centres, business incubators, etc.


• They should have formal and operational links with universities, research centres, and other higher educational institutions.


• They must have a team of professionals, integrated into an ‘ad hoc’ company or institution and specialised in science or technology park management, to promote technology transfer and encourage innovation between the companies and organizations established in the park, and to carry out some of the following tasks: planning, construction, promotion, and marketing of the park. At all events, they will be responsible for offering the companies and institutions established there common and added value services.


• Proof must be given of the presence in the park of innovating companies and other related institutions.

Affiliated members requirements

Organisations, projected parks or institutions interested in developing science and technology parks that wish to become associate members of the APTE will require to submit a presentation of the project, together with the documents listed below:

• There must be a suitable site for the park and at least one building housing common services such as meeting rooms, an auditorium, other general corporate services, advanced telecommunications infrastructures, etc.
• Name of the initiative.
• Name of the promoters.
• Articles of incorporation, if drawn up.
• Proof must be given of the presence in the park of innovating companies and other related institutions.
• Information about the physical area and infrastructures.
• Information about target sectors.
• Information regarding links with the scientific sector.
• Non confidential information related to the business plan.
• Any other information of interest.

Fees

The fees for Full and Affiliated members are different:

Full members:

- Admission fee: 1.500 € + TVA (only once).

- Half-yearly instalment: 1.723,29 € + TVA.

Affiliated members:

- Half-yearly instalment: 861,64 € + TVA
