The Park has 5 associations and 49 linked companies (30 installed and 19 virtually linked). The sector with the greatest presence is Information Technology and Telecommunications (ICT), with 49% of activity. Espaitec is a crucial instrument of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón (UJI) facilitating scientific-technological transfer and promoting innovative entrepreneurship.

At Espaitec we create added value for companies allocated in the park, connecting them with the talent created at the UJI, with the society and the business ecosystem of the province of Castellón.

Infraestructures and Spaces

Espaitec 1 building

This is an incubator building for innovative business projects in initial stages and it is where the Park’s central installations are found. This building covers 2,000 m2 and is distributed into different areas:

• 12 offices of 44.63 m² in size.
• 3 laboratories / workshops of 88.80 m² in size.
• 2 meeting rooms for to 6 and 20 people.
• Cafeteria.
• Office area for park management.

Espaitec 2 building

A building used for growing companies and consolidated innovative projects. It covers 9,700 m2 and is distributed into 5 plants that offer:

• 5 laboratories.
• 9 medium-sized offices (38 m² approx).
• 12 large offices (260 m² approx).
• 12 small offices (16 m² approx)
• 4 workshops (320 m² approx).
• 1 coworking room.  1 coworking room.
• 1 multi-purpose room, capacity 90 people.
• 4 meeting rooms, capacity 6, 8, 12 and 18 people.
• 1 cafeteria and 2 terraces for common use.

Developed areas

Espaitec has buildable land that covers 117,593.50 m². The three existing buildings also have a developed area that covers 48,765 m² distributed into several plots ready to install innovative companies and leading research centres.

Support Services to park entities

Espaitec has developed a strategy of continuous support for companies during the different phases of their life cycle, reinforcing its role as a hub for the agents of the innovative ecosystem. To this end, it has a set of value-added services focused on improving the competitiveness of the related business network and facilitating the transfer of technology and knowledge between the University and the industrial sector.
