The Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) has been present at the technological forum DES-Digital Enterprise Show held in Malaga from 11 to 13 June, accompanied by a delegation composed of more than 40 representatives of companies and entities of its member parks and the Spanish Technological Platform for Disruptive Technologies (DISRUPTIVE).

The technological challenges of our era were the central theme of this 8th edition, which included a debate on Artificial Intelligence by members of the UN High-Level Advisory Body for a safe, sustainable and human-centred implementation of this technology.

APTE has participated with a stand together with the DISRUPTIVE Platform, which is the secretariat of the association and is funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the State Research Agency, in order to show the work carried out by this platform focused on the study, dissemination and promotion of the application of disruptive digital technologies among Spanish companies and organisations.

The association was accompanied on this occasion by representatives of La Salle Technova Barcelona, the Science and Technology Park of Extremadura, the Science and Technology Park of Tenerife (PCTT), the Parc Balear d'Innovació Tecnològica (ParcBit) and the Technology Park of Euskadi and Málaga TechPark, who actively participated in the event's programme together with some of their most innovative companies. La Salle Technova Barcelona once again held the 'StartUps The Scale Up!' to showcase innovative projects to investors. For its part, the Science and Technology Park of Extremadura has highlighted the work carried out by the DIH Extremadura as a unique window for training services, R&D&I technology services and business development services to lead the digitalisation of Extremadura companies.

Likewise, the DISRUPTIVE platform has organised a B2B meeting between some of the companies participating in the event, which has led to around twenty business meetings.

At the same time, it was also announced the start of the third edition of the APTENISA programme for business ideation and acceleration, which will lead to the detection of 75 new business ideas and the acceleration of 30 startups, with the support of the National Innovation Company (ENISA). APTE's participation in the DES coincided with the final stretch of the open call for innovative ideas in the incubation phase of APTENISA (APTENISA START), which has allowed some innovative projects attending the event to have the opportunity to register in this phase of the programme that begins on 17 July.
